چکیده
Subsea gas release is an industrial hazard that can impose fire hazards on offshore facilities near the surfacing area. However, risk assessment of caused by subsea challenged due to inadequate recognition knowledge mechanism and resulting hazards. At present, minimal researches involving from a were reported, this paper extension previous works behavior. This focuses modeling release. A numerical simulation carried out using Computational Fluid Dynamic technique Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) analyze propagation characteristics assess impact personnel assets. probit model adopted calculate probabilities injury or death study also investigates effect wind speed, rate distance between pool platform impacts casualty probabilities. Fire and explosion risk assessment in a chemical company by the application of DOW fire and explosion index
Background: Fire and explosion hazards are extremely important in processing units. This study was performed to identify the risk centers, the potential damage caused by fire and explosion, and the days of production cessation in the processing company. Materials and Methods: The present qualitative case study was conducted using Dow’s index in 2015. The fire and explosion hazard index...
متن کاملMaterials and corrosion trends in offshore and subsea oil and gas production
The ever-growing energy demand requires the exploration and the safe, profitable exploitation of unconventional reserves. The extreme environments of some of these unique prospects challenge the boundaries of traditional engineering alloys, as well as our understanding of the underlying degradation mechanisms that could lead to a failure. Despite their complexity, high-pressure and high-tempera...
متن کاملTetanus caused by occupational accidents.
The role of occupational accidents as a source of tetanus is poorly known. In Finland, during the period 1969-1985, 28 (26%) of the 106 cases of tetanus were caused by occupational accidents, 16 of which occurred in agriculture and forestry. Twenty-one of the patients were men and seven were women. The mean annual incidence of tetanus was 1 per 100,000 occupational accidents during the study pe...
متن کاملParametric Generation of Explosion Scenarios for Quantitative Risk Assessment of Gas Explosion in Offshore Plants
In this study, probabilistic risk assessment has been carried out for the prediction of gas explosion loads due to hydrocarbon leaks and subsequent explosions in the topside of offshore platforms. In the initial phase of the risk assessment, the effect of various scenario parameters on the annual probability of gas explosion was quantified via a MATLAB code. For calculating the gas explosion fr...
متن کاملQualitative Risk Assessment of Gas Pipelines by Using of Indexing System Method in GIS environment
Nowadays the urbanization is developing rapidly, and it leads to growing demand for gas; which resulted in denser pipeline network, by the following increase in the pipeline network congestion, accidents will become inevitable. So Pipelines are a remarkable source of hazard for their adjacent society. Usually Indexing system method is used for pipe line risk assessment. This method assesses ri...
